Peep's Got a Sister!

I'd just like to welcome Peep's little sister into the world. She was born this past Thursday, right after lessons were finished. She's a leggy baby, strong, and so far she's doing well.

Today Dixie Chick and I worked on things in draw reins. She was pretty decent on most of the things we tried. We did a couple of lead changes, and those went well. On our first right to left lead change she tripped and I lost my stirrup, so we had to try it again. The next time it was fine. She didn't stop, and we got both lead changes. We're on the slow and steady plan. One change each direction each ride, until we're at the show.

Dolph is doing well. He's been riding a little five year old chestnut filly we got back from another trainer. She's a bit behind, but she's such a cream puff that it's all good. They've been together a while now, and she's starting to get muscled up and get things figured out. It's fun watching him ride a horse that wants to be good, but doesn't know what to do. They're a great team. Hopefully we can figure something out so they can stay together for a long time.
